Down the TBR Hole was originally created by Lia of Lost in a Story.

Before the year ends, I want to start fixing my TBR because I want to focus more on the books/e-books I already owned. Currently, I have 1,650 books on my Goodreads TBR (I know… it’s too much) and I think it’s time for me to say goodbye to some books that I am not really 100% into. Also, I want to give more space to all anticipated releases that I want to read.

How it works?

  • Go to your Goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold

I don’t own a copy of this book until today but I already watched the movie. It’s on my TBR list since 2012, I guess it’s time to let it go now. For real.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

My boyfriend gave me a few John Green’s hardcover books as a Christmas gift four years ago and The Fault in Our Stars was one of those. Unfortunately, I haven’t read it yet until now because I’ve already watched the movie and it was too painful for me. I have a feeling that the pain will grow once I read the book. I am more vulnerable in reading than watching sad stories. Hopefully, I’ll find the courage to pick this book and read it anytime soon.

The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han

It’s on my TBR for four years already but it’s Jenny Han!!! So no more explanation needed.

Inferno by Dan Brown

I DNF this book two years ago but it doesn’t mean that I don’t like it anymore. It was more like I was so busy (major plates, requirements, organizations, etc) that I barely have time to read books. I might go back into this book one day.

Overbite by Meg Cabot

As much as I love Meg Cabot for creating Princess Mia, I think this book will no longer work for me.
