Hello!

This meme is hosted by Steph at A little but a lot. Check the Sunday prompts for April-June 2020 HERE.

Honestly, I haven’t read any of these books BUT the synopses from Goodreads are my basis for this list. Does it make sense? I haven’t thoroughly explored this type of genre so, please forgive me for not yet reading these books.

For now, these are the books that I want to read in the LGBTQ genre and my intuition is telling me that there’s a high chance of me recommending these books. Nevertheless, your recommendations are highly appreciated!

1. SIMON VS. THE HOMO SAPIENS AGENDA by Becky Albertalli, Mathilde Tamae-Buohon

19547856

Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: if he doesn’t play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone’s business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he’s been emailing, will be compromised. (Read more on Goodreads)

2. AUTOBOYOGRAPHY by Christina Lauren

28919058. sy475

Three years ago, Tanner Scott’s family relocated from California to Utah, a move that nudged the bisexual teen temporarily back into the closet. 3. ARISTOTLE AND DANTE DISCOVER THE SECRETS OF THE UNIVERSE by Benjamin Alire Sáenz

12000020

Dante can swim. Ari can’t. Dante is articulate and self-assured. Ari has a hard time with words and suffers from self-doubt. Dante gets lost in poetry and art. Ari gets lost in thoughts of his older brother who is in prison. Dante is fair skinned. Ari’s features are much darker. It seems that a boy like Dante, with his open and unique perspective on life, would be the last person to break down the walls that Ari has built around himself. (Read more on Goodreads)

4. THE DREAM THIEVES by Maggie Stiefvater

17347389

Now that the ley lines around Cabeswater have been woken, nothing for Ronan, Gansey, Blue, and Adam will be the same. 5. CARRY ON by Rainbow Rowell

32768522

Simon Snow is the worst Chosen One who’s ever been chosen.
That’s what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he’s probably right.
Half the time, Simon can’t even make his wand work, and the other half, he starts something on fire. His mentor’s avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there’s a magic-eating monster running around, wearing Simon’s face. Baz would be having a field day with all this, if he were here — it’s their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon’s infuriating nemesis didn’t even bother to show up. 6. LEAH ON THE OFFBEAT by Becky Albertalli

31180248

Leah Burke—girl-band drummer, master of deadpan, and Simon Spier’s best friend from the award-winning Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda—takes center stage in this novel of first love and senior-year angst.

When it comes to drumming, Leah Burke is usually on beat—but real life isn’t always so rhythmic. An anomaly in her friend group, she’s the only child of a young, single mom, and her life is decidedly less privileged. She loves to draw but is too self-conscious to show it. And even though her mom knows she’s bisexual, she hasn’t mustered the courage to tell her friends—not even her openly gay BFF, Simon. (Read more on Goodreads)
